COVER DESIGN

The cover is a critical factor in the publication of a book. It should have a professional appearance, it should entice the reader to purchase it, and it should convey the message of the book's content in an aesthetically and technically proficient manner.

When we say "cover," in the printing world, we mean the complete two-page Spread (back cover - spine - front cover) in PDF format.

A) Technical check of the completed two page cover spread file you sent (back cover - spine - front cover) in PDF format with high resolution (300 dpi). Additionally, we will add our logo and the ISBN Barcode and the cost is £50.

B) Front cover only, and we create the two – page cover spread (spine – back cover) to the specific dimension of the book and the cost is £100.

C) A "basic" design of the cover, using prepared graphic compositions or a photo/sketch of your choice provided by you, incorporating text and titles, along with our logo and the ISBN Barcode and the cost is £150.

D) The deluxe version, in which we utilize an image purchased from an image bank, a design from a graphic designer/illustrator. This involves reading the book to select the most suitable visual approach that expresses its content. Two drafts will be created, followed by discussion and final selection with the author. The result will be a cover that stands out, significantly increasing the likelihood of attracting potential buyers' interest, and the cost is £360.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS IN CASE OF CHOOSING OPTION A:

If you choose option A), and you send us your own two-page cover spread ( front-spine- back cover) , it must be made by a graphic designer in a Photoshop file (PSD) at 300 DPI.
It should be larger than the desired size by 0.32cm (Bleed) on each side (right on the front cover, left on the back cover, and top bottom on the front cover, back cover, and spine), for example, 14.32cm x 21.64cm if the book is to be published in 148mm x 210mm. The elements of the cover and the back cover (letters, titles) should also be aligned within the printable area (e.g., within 148mm x 210mm). The spine will be created by you after pagination, once we provide you with the exact number of pages, as its width will be the number of pages multiplied by 0.00572008cm.

Additionally, on the back cover, you should leave a space of 5.93cm (height) x 4.06cm (width) where the book's barcode will be added, at the bottom of the page.

Every element (letters, images) must be in a separate layer.

Finally, you must have the copyright for every image you may use and provide us with all the source information, as well as send us the font you have used.

Please note any file that does not follow these specifications will not be accepted, and there will be a charge for cover construction.

We will offer technical support to you and guidance in every step of the process.
